I really liked this book overall. I like that the author chose two main characters that aren't perfect and doesn't try to change them in the end. Ethan is especially likable. I like the author portrayed a teen with physical disabilities I didn't like that the second characters were kind of "flat". I think the parents would have been more involved and I was disappointed that Alex didn't get all he deserved in the end. I was also hoping that Alex would have changed more after his experience. The ending was great. I hope their is a sequel.Product details

Great characters, good story. Not quite the happy ending you might be hoping for, but it leaves you feeling satisfied that things are headed in a positive direction for the major characters.
Great characters, so well written. Interesting and complex yet right on with the high school trials and tribulations that are so urgent and full of drama at that age.
I loved this book as I love all of Annabelle Costa's novels. I just did not like the ending.
Very sweet and real. You can really identify yourself with the characters in this story, another home run for Anabelle.
Ethan & Laura are so adorable in their awkward "first love". I felt like how Ethan & Alex think about and respond to the effects of Ethan's cerebral palsy seemed authentic. And the repercussions of Nikki's rape felt honest too.
And I have to say I liked the ending. It helped to make the whole story less fairy tale & more like an honest high school experience.
Really cool story, I’ve enjoyed both main characters and the falling in love is cute. The rape and aggression effects on the heroine’s sister were very credible and seemed well researched. I usually run away from juvenile fiction and double POV (I was a bit surprised when the hero’s brother, Alex, gains POV privilege too), but I’ve really enjoyed this book by Annie Carr and Annabelle Costa.
