Groupie edition by Ginger Voight Literature Fiction eBooks

I think this is one of those novels that quickly spiraled out of control and had no way of turning back. The Groupie by Ginger Voight started out great. You already know from the beginning that something bad has occurred, but as the chapters progress, you quickly learn why.
One of the things I enjoyed in the beginning was how strong the female lead Andy was. She was confident in her own skin and it didn't matter what society thought of her full figure. As the chapters progressed however, we start to see a completely different Andy and this got disappointing quickly. She suddenly became that woman we strive not to be and diminished her whole character for me. That being said, the story was enjoyable. The characters were very well developed and it helped the flow of this story tremendously. However, towards the end, it felt like there was a forced need to extend the series and it is a cluster... to say the least. I am intrigued though, I want to know how this ends and what will happen with the very tangled love triangle Andy is in.
If you love rockstar novels, give this a read. It is entertaining, messy and full of drama.

Groupie edition by Ginger Voight Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

3.5 Stars
I'm not sure how to rate this book. It was very, very well written, it made me feel so many emotions, I thought I was losing my mind. But it really pissed me off. Most of the characters I wanted to slap some sense into...

Before I even get into the main characters, I'm going to talk about the secondary ones... Iris, Jacob? Nice friends. It's obvious Andy is interested in Vanni and yet they don't say anything other than watch out? Really? Iris especially pissed me off. Yes she said watch out, but there are so many more things she could have said.
Oh and then there's Graham...as much as I love the man and he has the patience of a saint, he was a doormat. Who wants sloppy seconds?

Now, Andy.... I liked her in the beginning. I thought she was bright, confident, nice girl. Then she became the typical TSTL heroine. I can't even feel sorry for her because she brought it all on herself.

Vanni needs some therapy. And a kick in the ass. Plain and simple. And he needs to grow a backbone.

Like I said, I'm having trouble rating the book and giving a review. I can't honestly say I liked the book, because it really just pissed me off too much. I don't mind the angsty drama books, but I kind of like the ratio of happy to angst to be a lot more on the happy side, which this book didn't have. But then again, if the author's job is to make people feel, which I believe it is, then she's done a wonderful job. honestly this book so well written, and not all over the place, that I really do have to recommend this book if you're ok with a lot of angst.

I'm not 100% sure I'm going to read the next books, and if I do it will be awhile. I need a break from the drama. I hope that this author writes some less angsty stuff, cause I'd love to read it.
Although I liked this book and the character development, the grammar mistakes disturbed me. I am not an English teacher and yet where was the proof reader on this book. It disturbed me enough that I am leaving a note in a review about it. When there are 2 people, any author should know it is two not to. Did an automatic spell/grammar checker do this? Did a human reread it? If errors happened on rare occasions, I could understand it but various errors happened frequently enough that I found it disquieting.

The character development although fairly predictable was enjoyable. The story did not drag. It ended with a lead in to a sequel. Worth reading, but don't expect this to be top notch.
I just wanted to reach through the screen of my kindle and shake Andy. Andy was a disgrace to all women everywhere. At no point in time should you degrade yourself like she did for a man. Vanni repeatedly cheated on her without one once of remorse and she was completely ok with that. Because sharing him with someone else was better than being without him. What? Quit being such a doormat and get a backbone no man should treat you like crap,he doesn't love you if he treats you this way. It never got any better during the entire book, even right at the very end Vanni treated Andy like a dog, and yet she was still panting after him. This author infuriated me with her portrayal of women as having no worth without a,man. Shame on you.
Where to start? Groupie was the first book I’ve read by author Ginger Voight. I didn’t love it but I loved to not love it. Make sense? It was annoying, it was angsty and the DRAMA was packed in throughout the pages. I just couldn’t connect with Andy because I wanted to beat her senseless and tell her to grow a pair. She had me screaming (inside) and so frustrated. She was way too much of a doormat that she let everyone wipe their feet on. At the same time, I kept at it and couldn’t stop myself. The male lead, Vanni was like the total rock star, utter d*&^ that I just could not tolerate. I honestly wanted to throttle both of these characters. I wanted to see Vanni fight for Andy, to earn her. It was like having that friend that kept making the same poor decisions and then crying on your shoulder but not learning any lessons and then running back for more.
Overall this was intense, read which left me reeling with internal screaming and tantrum throwing. It was missing an emotional connection and it was missing any relationship building. Give this a try and step into the shoes of a groupie and find your next book crush. 2.5 Stars
